皆さんは「養殖」と聞くとどのように感じられますか?天然の魚よりも鮮度が落ちるとか、味が落ちるという印象を持たれる方がいらっしゃるかも知れません。しかし美食家が多い欧米では、養殖こそ新鮮でおいしいと言われています。いくつかある理由のうち、わかりやすいのはトレーサビリティです。これは食品の流通経路を生産段階から最終消費段階までたどれること。つまりハマチが何を食べて育ち、どんな加工処理がされ、どんな流通で人々の口に入るかを管理できるということです。世界の人口は今も増加し続けています。将来的な食料の確保、中でも高たんぱくな水産物への興味・関心はますます盛んになっています。また、世界的な海洋環境の変化などから、安全・安心な養殖は今後さらに需要が高まる見込みです。グローバル・オーシャン・ワークスグループでは、養殖の未来を一緒に語れる仲間を募集しています。

How do you feel when you hear "raising aquaculture"? There may be some people who have the impression that the freshness and taste quality is lower than natural wild fish. However, in Europe and the US where there are many gourmets, it is said that farmed fish is fresh and tasty. Out of serval reasons why, the most straightforward example is traceability, which means that the food distribution path can trace from the production stage to the final consumption stage. In other words, you can identify and manage what the fish was fed and raised by, what kind of process it has been through, up to what kind of distribution it went through until reaching people's mouth. As the population of the world continues to increase, the securing of food in the future, exceptionally high protein marine products are becoming more and more popular. It is also a fact that, due to changes in the global marine environment, demand for safe and secure fish farming is expected to rise further in the future. In the Global Ocean Works Group, we are looking for team players who can talk about the future of aquaculture together.
